Seattle’s Burnt Studio Productions is thrilled to make their New York City
debut with their award winning original show, Progression.

Blending movement, dance, and high theatricality, Progression wages war on social and gender politics. The story follows the journey of two creatures, a blue boy and a purple girl, from birth to adulthood. Burnt Studio founders Samuel Read and Michelle Lockhart begin by playfully tweaking audiences’ ideas of gender stereotypes; soon, however, they are progressing deeper, exploring the darker, more complex dichotomies of social identity.
