About the Show

Written in the style of British Pantomime, Pirate Pete’s Parrot is a family show full of songs and laugh out loud performances from a talented and prolific troupe, The Queens Players. The show also features six original songs written by A.S.C.A.P. award-winnning writer Richard Mazda.

Pirate Pete’s parrot is tired of birdseed and wants pancakes. Pirate Pete is late with the rent money and his evil landlord, Baron Bigbutt, threatens to throw Pete, Polly and Pete’s Mum, Pam, out on the street. Pete and the crew sail away to Treasure Cove to find the treasure. On their adventure they meet Bruce the Lion, who may be King of the Jungle but would much rather be the King of Comedy. Bruce tries out his terrible jokes and songs on Pete, McAye (the 1st Mate), Jolly Roger (the 2nd Mate) and Miroslav (the Czech mate). Then, Bruce helps them find the treasure and Pete sails back to rescue Polly, who was being held for ransom by Bigbutt. Pete threatens to make Bigbutt walk the plank, but Pam takes pity on him and the Baron asks Pam to marry him. Everyone lives happily ever after.
