Phenomenon investigates the interface between mundane daily life and grand-scale natural disaster. Fusing drama, visual art, dance and original music, Phenomenon tells the stories of five people living at the foot of Mt. St. Helens, just 24 hours prior to the 1980 eruption. As the volcano erupts live on stage, Mother Nature clashes with human nature and characters fall in and out of love–with each other, with strangers, with their work and dreams. Alyse Rothman directs.
No performance Monday, March 20.
