New York City
Curious Frog Theatre Company proudly presents one of Shakespeare’s most durable comedies, Much Ado About Nothing. The production will run August 16 – September 28, rotating between ten city parks. All shows begin at 4pm and free.
CFTC Executive Director Reneé Racan Rodriguez adapted and directs the 90-minute production, utilizing eight actors to create an ensemble-driven show. The show is an exciting step for CFTC, demonstrating the company’s commitment to developing an annual Shakespeare Festival that showcases actors of color in major Shakespearean roles. The production further makes a statement about CFTC’s commitment to performing throughout communities without ready access to theatre. Compared to last season’s The Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing adds eight venues, runs four weeks longer, and extends into two more boroughs.
