About This Show

Kings and Queens. Heroes and Monsters. Star-crossed lovers. And
one very persistent journalist. Monster is inspired by and loosely based on the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. The story traces the clash of three different cultures as they struggle for individual and national power amidst a maze of fear, confusion, and betrayal, shaking the very foundations of the world itself. While countries battle over the possession of the monstrous “weapon” and families fight both themselves and the outside world, we glimpse a little girl and a Monster inside a Labyrinth and witness the birth of their eventual friendship.

Present Tense Theater Project presents this production created by the PTTP ensemble, written by Liz Blocker and Nicole DuFresne, and directed by Dani Synder.
