Midnight Brainwash Revival
A New Year?s Play by Kirk Wood Bromley
(Winner of a 2002 Playwrighting Excellence Award in the New York Fringe Festival)
A Short Comedy of Apocalyptic Proportions…
Midnight Brainwash Revival is a hilarious and poignant apocalyptic journey by Kirk Wood Bromley, ?the beloved bard of downtown theater? (New York Magazine). Spanning the three days before New Year?s Eve in Moab, Utah, Brainwash takes its audience on a fantastical tour of America in a time of change. A lost father, estranged siblings, demons, messiahs, maniacs, and that desert trickster, Coyote, all join to celebrate the magic and terror of New Year?s Eve.
Kirk Wood Bromley has been produced across the country on stage and screen, awarded the 2001 Berrilla-Kerr Playwrighting Grant, and compared by critics to Stoppard and Shakespeare. Brainwash was produced in San Francisco in 2001 to critical acclaim by Ben Yalom?s Fools Fury theater company.
