An evening of works created by Makeda Thomas as Resident Choreographer of Companhia Nacional De Canta E Dança of Moçambique. Two works: “Subtle Changes/The Talented” and “A Sense of Place”, a new interdisciplinary dance work anchored by a series of conversations with young women living with HIV/AIDS in Moçambique, Africa. Music by Philip Hamilton, Zen One and Mingas. With greeting/introduction by Urban Bush Women Founder and Artistic Director, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and post-performance benefit reception at MADIBA.
