Micelings Productions starts spreading the love this summer as Laura McKenzie Feels Like Makin? Love makes its East Coast premier at the New York International Fringe Festival. Inspired by the familiar 1970s rock-ballad anthem, Chicago-based playwright and performer Laura McKenzie?s latest work weaves together 10 different characters ? including a chipmunk, a rock star, a professional man magnet, and a preacher who skims parables from the cosmetic jar. Mixing in original songs, a lick of rap and some dance instruction, she leads her audience on a fast-paced journey toward an unlikely epiphany. Laura Kepley directs.
