About This Show

This is the continuing saga of the Midlife Crisis, as sung and dramatized by the FABULOUS Singer and Life Coach, Jeree Wade, starring in her new One Woman, Near Broadway, somewhere in the vicinity of Broadway show…. Midlife…Oh the Drama! Audiences absolutely loved this show when it premiered in 2005. Always evolving with new songs and comedic moments, Jeree and her long time Musical Director, Frank Owens, take you on a poignant, inspirational journey through the midlife years…much laughter and thoughtfulness, always drama and pure joy… The original material by Frank Owens, Branice McKenzie and Ty Stephens blends beautifully with lyrics and melodies of the greats like Jule Styne, Duke Ellington, and others. Don Thomas of the New York Beacon wrote a glowing review in which he describes the show perfectly.”This one woman show tells the story of a singer in her mid life 40’S who let her chance of fame and love slip through her fingers because she wasn’t ready to take the big plunge…..While the show uncovers a bittersweet love affair, it shows a woman’s determination to overcome life’s ups and downs, turnarounds and mountains of drama, as Pearl excels lifts her wings and took to highest roads again.”

Directed by Ty Stephens and written by Adam Wade, Midlife…Oh the Drama! is a production of long time collaborators Songbirds Unlimited Productions and The Jazz Center of New York. The Creative Team, Songbirds, are also the writers and producers of the 1983 Off Broadway sensational hit show Shade of Harlem that ran at the Village Gate. Just like Shades, Midlife is a totally delightful show with universal appeal. You’ll enjoy every moment!
