Icarus

The Fourth Unity Theatre Company presents the New York City premiere of Icarus, by Edwin Sanchez. The play is a poignant tale that paints a surreal portrait of misfit dreamers whose wax wings melt when they fly too close to the sun. Primitivo, confined to a wheelchair, is “rescued” by his disfigured sister from hospital confinement and taken to a deserted beach, whre she weaves fantastical tales to help his spirit soar. When a troubled stranger enters their sanctuary, they teach him the deeper significance of holding onto what is truly sacred. Dennis Smith directs.
