I Didn’t Know It Could Be Like This: Henrik Ibsen’s Doll House is Ibsen’s whirling theater gizmo, spinning relentlessly, leaving a trail of worn velvet seats and devastation.
In May 2002, SCIENCE PROJECT presented I’m So Sorry for Everything: Henrik Ibsen’s Doll House in the Visiting Artist Series at The Performing Garage. Now the company re-enters Ibsen’s perpetual motion machine with a new staging of the decrepit and indestructible Doll House. Ibsen’s play asks that we believe in an exit. We, a bunch of pathetic theater people, are ready to believe in anything, but we didn’t know it could be like this. Yelena Gluzman directs.
