Created in seven weeks through an ambitious process that incorporates improvisation, script outline and live video sequences, Fluke unfolds with the eavesdropping of conversations on ten patrons at the hip “Nobu-esque” sushi bar, Toy Skeeters. A chance occurance between the play’s timely characters centers around a young widower; the famous resaurateur himself, Troy Skeeters; a sexy, in-the-know restaurant hostess; a married couple recapturing romance on date night; a fallen stock analyst and her married lover; an unsophisticated children’s book editor; a scandalized Olympic athlete; a neurotic cat-toting crazy woman; a tennis instructor; and a scorned woman.
