New York City
The year is 1982, and Margaret Thatcher has dispatched troops to recover the Falkland Islands from Argentinean invaders. While there, British soldiers take an American combatant captive. Faith is centered on these soldiers, the American, and the English woman who houses them. As the play progresses, their hostage and an extreme order from above cause the soldiers to question their government, their reasons for fighting, their morals, and, ultimately, their faith. Written by Meredith Oakes, directed by Stephen Francis.
