About This Show

Phoenix Theatre Ensemble’s three-year Greek play trilogy concludes when the cycle of bloody vengeance in the House of Atreus comes full circle in this passionate play about a daughter’s fight for justice and retribution. Following the assassination of King Agamemnon by the queen and her lover, the princess Electra is consumed with grief and hatred for her father’s murderers. Abused, tormented, and reduced to rags, she rages for revenge against the tyrants. All her hopes are pinned on her brother, Orestes, to avenge their father and put an end to her anguish.
