Echoes tells the story of a young man and woman who meet in a psychiatric institution. Both have suffered a severe disassociation, to the point where all they remember about their former lives are shards and fragments. While ultimately a tragic love story, the play is highlighted by moments of comedy and tenderness.
Playwright N. Richard Nash (most famous for The Rainmaker, which was turned into the 1956 film with Burt Lancaster, Audrey Hepburn, and Lloyd Bridges) has woven an emotionally charged love story that will resonate with you long after you have left the theater.
