New York City
Dixon place presents the Civilians workshop production of: THE LADIES, a grave and flamboyant look at Eva Peron, Imelda Marcos, Madame Mao, and Elena Ceausescu–four women famous for their marriages and infamous for the political power they wielded within them. In a series of vignettes, monologues, snippets of conversation between playwright Anne Washburn and director Anne Kauffman, familiar rituals, and a song or two, the co-creators integrate original text derived from extensive research with verbatim transcripts of their own eclectic process. Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 for advance tickets, and $10 for students and seniors.
