About This Show

Country Dark follows three people who must confront the secrets of their past when they meet in a cabin in upstate New York. Leo is a would-be fashion photographer that lives out an artistic fantasy with the help of his younger brother Charles. This time, Charles unwittingly has included his runaway girlfriend Lisa in the ritual, and her discoveries about her supposed savior and the lessons of her personal history are the focus of this thriller. With a Hitchcockian blend of voyeurism, violence, and gender dysphoria, Robert McIlwaine’s drama exposes the desperate need for love as a dangerous form of blindness.

Part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival.
