About This Show

The newest play by Rob Ackerman — whose Tabletop about the hilarious behind-the-scenes madness of making a television commercial was a hit when Working Theater debuted the play Off-Broadway in 2000 — Call Me Waldo takes another comic and insightful look at the workplace, this time upending
stereotypes about the working class when an ordinary electrician begins channeling the spirit of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Now in its 27th season, Working Theater is New York’s only professional Off-Broadway theatre company dedicated to producing plays for and about
the working men and women of New York.
