About This Show

The lights fade to black. In the dark we hear a few notes played on the piano – a melody from long ago, familiar, yet unable to place because the style of the tune does not seem to match up with what we think we remember. As the stage lights come up, we see a curvy red-head in a long velvet burgundy dress, in typical Cabaret fashion. She begins to sing. Her rich, sultry voice slowly pours out a Fosse-style melody. We suddenly realize that we recognize the song from our childhood, the theme song from the TV show we all grew up and learned from. Yet, there are no puppets, there are no lessons to learn. This show is all about sensuality. It’s got all the makings of a diva Cabaret performance with a twist. Laura Klein-Danilov stars in a benefit performance of “C” is for Cabaret, an evening of song — like kindergarten, with a little more “oomph” than you remember, w/ Hector Coris on the piano.

Proceeds go towards the teen outreach program of Funny Women Fest (FWF), an arts organization which nurtures women through comedy.

There is a 2 drink minimum.

Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the show.
