About the Show

Sharp wit, poignant honesty and Lysol-laden high jinks hit theaters when Belly, Julie Tortorici’s one-woman show hits NYC’s Juvie Hall and the Actors Workshop in Boston this April. Last seen in New York’s 2003 International Fringe Festival, Belly has recently been restaged by director, Alicia Arinella. Written and starring Julie Tortorici, the show is an afternoon in the life of Frannie, a delightfully disarming housewife with a twist. Frannie, a house-bound woman trotting through her routine, surprisingly discovers an audience in her living room. Thrust into the role of hostess, Frannie takes her audience on a rollercoaster ride of memories, confessions, hand sanitizer, hostess cupcakes and friendship. See the show Fred Backus of NYTheatre.com called, “a rare gem.”
