For centuries, tales of Anansi, the clever trickster spider, have been spun a million different ways. But now Uzuri Dance Theater has woven humor, music and pure visual spectacle into a vibrant new telling like no other: Anansi the Spider: An African Folktale.
Thanks to imaginative costume design and an innovative use of black lights, this classic folktale from the Ashanti people literally glows with imagination. Laugh along with the fearless and sly arachnid as he uses jokes and brains to realize his goals. Live African percussion and traditional West African dance enrich his adventures at TADA!
