Achidi J’s Final Hours

About This Show

Based on a true story, Achidi J’s Final Hours is a startling depiction of interracial love and immigration politics in contemporary Germany that has powerful and disturbing resonances closer to home. Isa is a Senegalese immigrant, Alex is a white German national. They meet one summer and fall in love just before an incident of racially motivated police brutality rocks their tiny town. Torn between their feelings for each other and the tension rising around them, their relationship becomes a desperate fight to keep their family together.

Achidi J’s Final Hours is being presented as part of the Impact Festival.
