The Towers fell on 9/11. The Constitution was amended on 9/12. Forget what you learned in Government 101.
9/12 begins with the unexpected death of a Middle Eastern graduate student and reaches across oceans and back in time to implicate an American family of mixed blood, persecuted ancestry, and an unwavering sense of defiance. What starts out as a discussion about dinner takes an unexpected detour during a random baggage check in the NYC subway system. Special agents cloaked in the shadow of Homeland Security and immune from accountability confront Larry Leonard, a well-known and opinionated writer born and raised in Brooklyn, and his wife Naomi, the student’s mentor and a naturalized American, about their conspicuous and sometimes questionable activities of the past. It’s the day after 9/11. Many days after 9/11. And they’re all 9/12.
9/12 is being presented as part of the Impact Festival.
