New York City
After a two-year absence, the legendary Cirque du Soleil returns to New York this spring with their critically-acclaimed all-new production Varekai. The show — conceived by a new creative team including Dominic Champagne (writer and director), Andrew Watson (director of creation), Violaine Corradi (composer), and Michael Montanaro and Bill Shannon (choreographers) — includes over 50 artists and cast members from 13 countries. It tells the story of a young man dropped from the sky to explore the world of Varekai, a land of undiluted possibility located deep within a forest at the summit of a volcano.
