Jean Cocteau Repertory presents Paul Zindel’s award-winning The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds. The resentful Beatrice batters her daughters with her own fears, rancor and spite. The older daughter Ruth has succumbed, but young Tillie has somehow managed to withstand her mother’s onslaught – and even finds promise in a high-school science project. Ernest Johns directs.
