Award-winning female impersonator Tommy Femia stars in the new comedy Norma Doesmen a parody of a popular 1950’s film about a faded star of the silent screen.
Written by directed by Stephen Stahl, the piece is set in a run-down chateau of an alcazar on Sunset Boulevard, and follows the story of unemployed script-writer "Joe Dillis" who finds himself on the run from the re-po men and dives into the lap of a reclusive, silent-screen movie star "Norma Doesmen." Waiting for her return to filmdom, Norma finds her prey in Dillis, who is manipulated and seduced by this insane, over sexed, psychotically disordered fallen legend. Along with her totally schizophrenic servant "Max" and Joe’s devoted narcoleptic girlfriend, "Betty ShaveHer," the comedy ensues as Joe accidentally crosses her path and she sees in him an opportunity to make her comeback to the big screen.
