Dance of Death (Jean Cocteau Repertory)

In a granite fortress off the coast of Sweden where Edgar, the Captain, lives in a semi-isolation with his wife, Alice, a former actress. As they approach their 25th wedding anniversary, they engage in a hot and venomous “battle between the sexes” as their relationship dissolves. Precursors to Albee’s George and Martha, they dance the macabre dance of unresolved sex and passion. August Strindberg’s Dance of Death is directed by Karen Lordi and stars the veteran husband and wife acting team of Craig Smith and Elise Stone.
