About This Show

MDC has been recording an original mix of Rock, Jazz And R&B for almost 20 years creating a signature sound. The band is anchored by the songwriting and vocals of Michael Dean Carr and the legendary rhythm section of Chuck Rainey and Bernard Purdie along with Jon Dryden on Keyboards, and 2005 Grammy nominee Donnie McCaslin on Saxophone.

The ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’ yearly inducts legends of Rock Music. As of 2003, Chuck Rainey’s bass lines and rhythm influence are the documented backbone of the original hit recordings of the following artists: Aretha Franklin (1987), Marvin Gaye (1988), The Jackson 5 (1997), The Rascals (2000), Steely Dan (2001).

One of the all-time great drummers, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie’s impeccable time and mastery of backbeats and grooves are celebrated. Purdie can be heard on countless discs by BB King, Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Miles Davis, James Brown, Paul Simon among others.
There is a $10 per person Food & Beverage minimum
