Dance New Amsterdam presents Contemporary Dance Unit ZERO to INFINITY performing Tower by Mai Miyamoto.

Contemporary Dance Unit ZERO to INFINITY is organized by Mai Miyamoto. This unit wants to find unlimited possibilities through collaboration with dancers, performers, lighting, music, space and various… things.

Choreographer Mai Miyamoto has been a member of Chizu Shoda Modern DanceFragment since 1992, and joined Dance G in 1994 presiding over DANCE STUDIO MIYA FRIENDS since 2000. Having choreographed over 30 works Ms. Miyamoto subsequently won the Contemporary Dance Association of Japan Award ‘New Figure’ in 2001, the Third Prize in the Nakano Nationwide Competition in 2002 and the Third Prize in the Tokyo nationwide Competition in 2003. She was selected as a legitimate trainee by the Agency of Cultural Affairs of Japan in 2000 and 2004. TOWER features dancers Yoshinori Ito, Mai Miyamoto, Akemi Nishi, Aoi Nishimura, Kokora Ohba, Ryoji Sasamoto and Ran Yoshida. Music by J.S. Bach, Steve Reich and “dumb type”.
