About This Show

The New York Festival of Song opens its 15th season with Lyrics by Shakespeare, featuring readings from Shakespeare’s plays and verses with the music of Finzi, Quilter, Kabalevsky, Saint-Saens, Brahms, Virgil Thomson, Stephen Sondheim, and others. Kathleen Chalfant serves as narrator.
