Klea Blackhurst: Autumn in New York: Vernon Duke’s Broadway

About the Show

Klea Blackhurst – the “jolly broth of a lady with a voice the size of a TWA terminal,” (The NY Observer) who took New York by storm in 2001 with her award-winning and critically-acclaimed tribute to Ethel Merman Everything The Traffic Will Allow now turns her passion for musical-theatre history towards the “checkered” (his own word!) Broadway career of composer Vernon Duke in her all new show Autumn in New York: Vernon Duke’s Broadway. Backed by Michael Rice and the Pocket Change Trio (Michael Rice, piano; Ray Kilday, bass; David Strauss, guitar), Ms. Blackhurst’s latest musical offering will be presented at the East Side¹s newest cabaret hotspot OPIA.

Schedule: Fridays October 22, November 5, 12 and 19 at 7PM; Saturdays October 23 and November 6, 13 and 20 at 9PM; Sundays November 7 and 14 at 7PM.
