About This Show

An absurdist comedy about the prevalent culture of fear in today’s society, Just Because You’re Paranoid Doesn’t Mean They’re Not Out to Get You pushes the paranoia to an extreme and demonstrates the crippling effect of the media’s approach to selling “news.” Songs like “Everything Has Side Effects,” “The Good Ones Are Married or Gay,” and “Someone’s Got It Worse Than You” are bound to have you tapping your toes, snapping your fingers, and scheduling a complete physical as soon as you get home. Never before has a paralyzing fear of identity theft and bird flu been such fun. Inevitably doomed to fail miserably in New York, Just Because You’re Paranoid… has a book and lyrics by Kathleen Anderson Culebro and music by Trevor Gureckis.
