Cheryl Freeman has electrified Broadway audiences as The Acid Queen in The Who’s Tommy, as Vy/Vy-man in Duke Ellington’s Play On, as Bessie in Frank Wildhorn’s The Civil War, for which she received a Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards nomination. Off-Broadway she appeared as Ms. Sherman in Fame On 42nd Street. Cheryl can be heard on all of the above-mentioned Original Cast recordings – and the upcoming Walmartopia cast recording.
