In continuation of the “Broadway at Birdland” series, Euan Morton performs songs from his critically acclaimed debut album NewClear along with some favorite covers. The Tony®-nominated star has been hailed as “remarkable” (Liz Smith), “sublime” (Daily News), and “sensational” (The New York Times).
Euan Morton came to the States in the Broadway musical Taboo. His performance in the show garnered a Tony nomination and a Theater World Award, in addition to the Olivier Award nomination he earned for starring in the London world premiere. Recently, Euan received rave reviews for playing the title role in Tony Kushner’s adaptation of Brundibár at The New Victory Theater, and won an Obie Award for starring in Measure For Pleasure at The Public Theater. His other New York credits include the title role in the musical Caligula for the inaugural season of the New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF Best Actor Award). Over the last two years Euan has been performing sold-out concerts in New York City at Birdland, Joe’s Pub, The Zipper Theater and Town Hall, as well as at The Signature Theater in Arlington, VA.
