New York University presents David Henry Hwang: 20 Year Retrospective. The evening begins with a selection of performances from acclaimed playwright David Henry Hwang, who is the Artist-in-Residence at NYU’s Asian/Pacific American Studies Program. The readings, directed by award-winning playwright/director Chay Yew include selections from F.O.B., Family Devotions, The House of Sleeping Beauties, M. Butterfly, Face Value, and Golden Child. Performers include B.D. Wong, John Rubenstein, Randall Duk Kim, Tina Chen, Ching Valdes-Aran, and Julyana Soelistyo.

A conversation between Hwang and former New York Times critic Fank Rich follows the performances. The evening concludes with a screening of A&E’s 1982 television version of The Dance and the Railroad, starring John Lone and Tzi Ma, directed by Emile Ardolino.

Admission is FREE and open to the public.
