David Gurland is back with a new collaboration with Musical Director and Arranger Michael Holland.
Neurotica will cover as many as twenty of Madonna’s hit songs from the early 80’s through the present, with many surprises along the way. It will follow a similar format to Gurland’s prior endeavor with Michael Holland, the wildly successful GURLEY SHOW. Launched in early 2002, The Gurley Show enjoyed sold out crowds and rave reviews with its unique mergence of rock music with the theatricality of a cabaret show.
Award winning songwriter/singer/instrumentalist Michael Holland will be playing guitar and piano, and is crafting the arrangements and musical direction for the show. Neurotica will also feature Gurley Show Veterans Karen Mack (on Back up vocals) and Jerry Smith( on Drums), as well and David Boyd on Back-up, and Marco Brehm on Bass
Gurland’s accolades include 4 MAC Award nominations, the MAC/Hanson Award, a Gay and Lesbian American Music Award Nomination, and three Back Stage Bistro Awards.
The May premiere of Neurotica at The Encore was called “one of the most exciting outings of the season” by Back Stage.
