Dan sang the song "It's a Long Road" on Sylvester Stallone's first Rambo film, First Blood. In 1988, Dan's "Never Thought (That I Could Love)" hit the top of the charts. In 1998 when Sammy Kershaw recorded Dan's "Love of My Life", Dan won ASCAP's award for one of the year's most played songs.
