Broadway Spotlight: John Tartaglia

Broadway Spotlight, presented by Ars Nova Theater and sponsored by Broadway.com, is a monthly event that brings new stars of the Great White Way on the first Monday of every month.

The Avenue Q star boogies over to Ars Nova to perform a concert covering a wide range of styles from contemporary show tunes to current pop backed by a spotlight band. With Special Guests: JEN BARNHART, STEPHANIE D’ABRUZZO and AYME GARCIA. Expect some special surprises – who knows, he may even find his “Purpose!” Directed by Jamie McGonnigal. Tartaglia is currently making his Broadway debut in the new “breakthrough” musical Avenue Q. His Off-Broadway credits include Carnival (Encores!) and Avenue Q with MTC and Merkin Hall. He has appeared in other New York City productions, including: Superfudge! (Theatreworks USA), Celestina (Players Club) and Warsaw (CAMI Hall). He performed on Sesame Street for eight seasons, and has also performed on Animal Jam, Bear in the Big Blue House and the Rosie O’Donnell Show.

Upcoming Spotlight performers include Broadway Understudies with musical director Seth Rudetsky (Monday, May 3rd at 8 PM) and Alexander Geminiani (Monday, June 7th at 8 PM).
