Big Shot: A Tribute to Billy Joel

Big Shot plays Joel’s hit songs in a tribute so spot-on that Billy Joel himself said “They had a hard time convincing me that it wasn’t me.”

Big Shot is comprised of musicians who are both associated with, have worked for Billy Joel and his band, and Billy Joel’s Musical on Broadway Movin’ Out. The 6 piece band is fronted by Michael DelGuidice. Born and raised on Long Island Mike has performed Billy’s music since High School and is a multi-talented singer/songwriter and instrumentalist. As an accomplished piano player, bassist, guitarist and drummer, Mike has performed with many artists and renowned musicians. He has recorded with such companies as Lava/Atlantic records, and an album with former Billy Joel bassist Doug Stegmeyer. Mike has performed for 15 years singing Billy’s music in every venue from piano bars to huge festivals, Corporate Events and concert venues, before forming Big Shot in November of 2000. Since then has brought Big Shot to a national level and is currently finishing the production of his newest original CD, titled Daydream. Big Shot continues to perform locally and nationally , as a rising original artist and a tribute to his Great Idol and icon Billy Joel.
