An Evening of Operettas

Light Opera of New York opens its 2008-09 season in a two-part presentation: A Life in Love, from Youth to Maturity — operetta selections ranging from solos to sextets — followed by Eyes and No Eyes — a semi-staged one-act operetta with story and lyrics by William S. Gilbert, based on his interpretation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor’s New Clothes.
