Alliance for Justice: Quiet Revolution

About This Show

Social Security. The 40-hour work week. Child labor laws. The minimum wage. Workers’ compensation. Zoning laws. Clean water. Safe workplaces.
Most Americans take these for granted as unassailable staples of our society. But there is an increasingly powerful movement afoot to undermine the legal basis for each one of these laws, and then some. The people behind this effort – a growing group that includes Supreme Court justices, senators, academics, and legal activists – must not be allowed to control the debate. Alliance for Justice, a Student Action Campaign, educates the public about this extremist movement and how progressive forces are fighting back.

Following the film, there is a panel discussion, A Quiet Revolution: The Right Wing Assault on Our Courts, hosted by AFJ.

Alliance for Justice: Quiet Revolution is presented as part of the Impact Festival.
