New York City
One of Shakespeare’s most delightful and rowdy comedies! Looking to restore his riches, Sir John Falstaff conjures a plan to seduce the wives of two of Windsor’s wealthiest men. However, Falstaff is no match for the cunning and trickery of Mistress Page and Mistress Ford—who quickly turn the tables.
Shakespeare’s great comedy about marriage will be performed by only three actors (Nicole Lewis, Jason O’Connell, Zuzanna Szadkowski) in an exuberant feat of imagination, energy, and theatricality. Director Eric Tucker and actor Jason O’Connell are frequent collaborators; their work together includes last season’s acclaimed off-Broadway production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Sense and Sensibility for the New York-based company Bedlam, for which Tucker is artistic director.
