The 4th Annual Solo Flights Festival consists of three fantastic solo performances presented in rotating repertory throughout the festival, along with one-night-only special musical events.:

The Man Who Danced with Marlene Dietrich
Written and performed by Robin Hirsch
This is Robin Hirsch’s latest story of his family’s life in the shadow of World War II. At a ball in Berlin in the 1920s, Hirsch’s mother finds her first true love – a man who has also caught the eye of Marlene Dietrich.

JoAnne Brackeen – Jazz Pianist
Living legend, JoAnne Brackeen has been called “The Picasso of Jazz Piano” for her visionary performances in both “straight ahead” and “free” styles. She gained distinction as the first and only female member of Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers (1969-1972) and has performed with such jazz luminaries as Joe Henderson and Stan Getz. To witness JoAnne in performance is to be enchanted by the whole history and future of jazz.
