About the Show

Oscar Wilde’s Salome is a rarely performed masterpiece of desire and revenge through a combination of the fantastic and the symbolic, of highly charged eroticism and lyrical poetry. Salome is the object of every man’s desire, yet is spurned by the only man she wants. Presented in conjunction with Salome are two of Wilde’s short tragicomedies. A Florentine Tragedy is a comic look at a merchant in danger of losing his wife to a Prince. La Sainte Courtesane is an intriguing tale of the battle between religious purity and sexual desire. There is no matinee on Satuday, March 15.On March 26, the show has been changed to a matinee at 1 pm.
