Tennessee Williams’ classic play is set in 1947 New Orleans. The show centers on the explosive relationship between Blanche, a frail, tragically lost soul, and Stanley, her boorish brute of a brother-in-law. One of Williams’ most exquisitely crafted characters, Blanche du Bois is a woman whose life has been undermined by her romantic illusions, which lead her to reject — so far as possible — the realities of her life.
There will be an added Sunday matinee on September 17 at 2pm.
