It’s 1964. From a New York City loft, an uptight “would-be” author focuses his binoculars on an escort playing her trade in the apartment below. He complains to the landlord, has her evicted and finds he has trouble pounding on his door with a vengeance. She thinks he owes her a place to stay for the night, an arrangement that leads to hilarity. She is practically illiterate but quickly absorbs language skills. It does trouble her that after learning to pronounce “impeccable,” she can’t fit it into a sentence. He begins to melt at this honest delight of a woman and they find themselves falling in love…until death do they part.
