About This Show

Tony winner Jane Krakowski will present a one-evening sizzling performance at the Bickford Theatre with her solo concert, provocatively titled Better When It’s Banned: A Sinful Songbook. First presented in her concert debut at Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series last year, Ms. Krakowski will perform risqué classics from the 1920’s and 30’s. Many of the songs were blue-penciled by the Motion Picture Production Code and the governing Hays Office from films and shows. She is accompanied by Broadway composer, conductor, and music director Michael Kosarin on keyboards and acclaimed jazz bassist Jay Leonhart.
