Tennessee Williams’s classic memory play glimpses into the Wingfield family’s struggle to survive in 1939 St. Louis. While family matriarch Amanda clings to her dignity, son Tom reluctantly serves as breadwinner and frail sister Laura retreats from the world, seeking comfort in her collection of little glass animals. Will the arrival of a “gentleman caller” bring hope, or shatter their fragile home? Eric C. Engel directs.
