Little Shop of Horrors

About the Show

Howard Ashman?s horticultural saga of a man-eating plant takes root on the stage of the Stoneham Theatre. Little Shop of Horrors is the story of a flower-shop clerk who finds a cute, prickly little plant hidden among the marigolds. To his disgust and shock,
he discovers the plant?s diet requires a steady dose of human blood which he reluctantly agrees to supply in return for the green thing?s promise of fame, fortune and romance. The bumpy ride to happiness includes an encounter with draculian evil, a brief flirtation with network tv and a solar eclipse. The campy “Greek Chorus,” a trio of 1960?s girl singers who appear in the background vocalizing their interpretation of the events unfolding on stage,
adds to the melodrama.
