About This Show

Imagine two good friends, both lesbians: a photographer, and a writer. Vida (rhymes with high, dry, and cry) is a flame to all who know her. Cassandra fights shy. She sees Vida as wild and not quite free. Vida’s lovers have come and gone. Will Vida and Cassandra connect? Can they? What power connects two bodies only by sight? It’s Christmas among the dunes of the Outer Cape. What do you do when the ex shows up wanting closure or wanting more. Who inspires the woman artist? Does she own herself? Or, is she trapped by what they all want of her? What is the real gift we give? A thoughtful, funny play straight from the heart of our sexy, smart, secret culture. By the poet and playwright, Sara Heron, who started years ago, when queer women admitted, out loud, that the passions of the mind and the passions of the body should meet. At least occasionally. A fully staged reading. Discussion follows.

Appropriate for ages 16+.
